As a Vancouver-based eco-resort reviewer, my culinary expectations were set high for my recent stay at Malibu Samed. While the beachfront location at Ao Wong Duean offered stunning views and a relaxing ambiance, our dining experience was a bit of a mixed bag. We enjoyed breakfast, though it felt average, using what seemed to be budget-friendly ingredients. On the brighter side, we stumbled upon a charming local spot for dinner, where innovative Thai dishes were served in a cozy setting. The staff's friendliness shone through, particularly when we were surprised with a complimentary room upgrade upon our arrival. The lounging area next to the beach was perfect for unwinding with the gentle sound of waves, and the friendly feline residents added a whimsical touch. So, if you're looking for a casual getaway that combines natural beauty with the essence of local culture, this place may just fit the bill.
